MAY 17th LIon's Letter

Students have Early Release at 12:15 5/20, 5/21, and 5/22. Our latest Lion'sLetter has all the information for the last week of school including Finals and GRADUATION!!

Testing Information for 5/13-5/17

Attention students/parents – we have STAAR and AP testing coming up that affect LSOC students! Here is what is coming next week: 13th – 7th grade Math STAAR, 8th grade Math STAAR retest 14th – 7th grade Reading STAAR, 8th grade Reading STAAR retest, AP Calculus, AP Human Geography 15th – 8th grade Science STAAR, AP English III 16th – 8th grade Social Studies STAAR, AP Statistics 17th -- Makeup testing for students absent on STAAR days Also, our campus will be closed to visitors of affected testing students while STAAR testing is taking place. This means that visitors will not be allowed on campus for any reason, including dropping off lunches, volunteering, or observations if it involves the testing environment. Please plan accordingly by rescheduling appointments if necessary. Students need to report on time for testing, get plenty of sleep, pack snacks and lunch if needed, and all students must be in complete uniform for testing days. We appreciate your help on these dates.”

Spotlight Message

Anne is a native Texan with 23 years of experience in education. She was raised in Houston but has been in the DFW area for over 23 years. Anne attended Texas A&M University and Southwest Texas State University where she graduated with a degree in math education. She received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University Commerce in 2008. She has a varied background of experience ranging from public to private schools and her administrative experience extends from K-12th grade. Anne worked most recently as principal of Life School Red Oak preceded by Waxahachie and Coppell ISDs as assistant principal before joining the Life School team. Most of her teaching experience was in 4th-6th grade in Midlothian ISD and at Park Springs Christian Academy in Arlington. She currently lives in Midlothian with her husband Chris and her three children Andrew, Kyle, and Molly. Joining the Life School team is the best decision she has ever made!
