My name is Michael Mitchell and I am excited to be a part of Life School Oak Cliff and this proud community located here in Dallas, Texas. Not only am I excited, but my family as well. My wife of 28 years is named Sherry. Also, we have eight adult children with grandchildren. Michael, Roderick, Miisha, Shambrica, Kierstien, Brittany, Mikandrea, and Jared.
Also, although I am a burgeoning educator my background include both a B. S. in Health Education and Master's degree in Education Leadership. During this short time, I spent two years as a Culinary Arts teacher at Corsicana High School and received awards for Teacher of The Month and The Rising Star of Education. Also, I have certifications in Family and Consumer Science, Generalist EC-8, Health EC-12 History 8-12, Social Studies 4-12, Special Education EC-12, and Principal EC-12. In addition, I have several other passions as well. I teach Sunday School, volunteer, and play tennis.
In conclusion, I am both fortunate and blessed to have such an opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal of Life School Oak Cliff Middle School and help fulfill it's mission, which states, "To train leaders with life skills for the twenty-first century by establishing strong academics, character training, and a parenting program."
