Coach Kendra Miles begins her thrid year at Life School Oak Cliff as Head Volleyball and assistant Track & Field coach and teaches 8th grade Technolgy Applications. Coach Miles has been an educator/coach for eleven years, Kendra has worked in only one other district (Terrell) as a Reading, English, and Speech/Professional Communications teacher/coach.
Kendra lettered in three sports (Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field) at Commerce High School. After high school – Kendra played for the Club Volleyball team at University of Texas at Arlington where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After volunteering with Girls, Inc. Kendra decided to obtain her teaching certification so that she could begin a new career of teaching and coaching.
Kendra has thriteen years of experience in coaching volleyball; from coaching for a college club team, high school, middle school teams, developmental and recreational youth teams to competitive club teams. Kendra is heavily envolved with club volleyball.
Kendra believes in athletes being successful both on and off the court. As an educator/coach – I know that I amMolding Individual Lives Every Second. For this reason, I believe that each student athlete is a unique individual, and it is my responsibility to provide an environment for all athletes to be successful as well as grow and mature intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically – and this can be done not only in the classroom but also through competition.
