Life School Oak Cliff Lions at the Texas High School Womens Powerlifting Association

Charva Harris represented the strength of the Life School Oak Cliff Lions at the Texas High School Womens Powerlifting Association State Championship in Corpus Christi, TX on March 21st. She was the Region 6 Division 3 Champion in the 181.5 pound weight class, and came into the meet ranked 14th of the 22 lifters that qualified for state.

Charva showed up ready to take care of business, hitting a 325 pound squat, 155 pound bench press, and pulling a whopping 355 pound deadlift (all personal records). When the meet was over she had jumped several lifters to finish the meet 7th in the state. This is her second trip to state, and her second time to represent Region 6 Division 3 as the champion. We are so proud of all that she’s accomplished in her Powerlifting career at Life, as well as in her other two varsity sports (softball and track).

Charva plans to attend the University of North Texas in the fall, where she will pursue an education degree, with the goal of joining Life Schools as alumni faculty.
